Mission Awareness Conference (Macon) is an annual gathering of Missionaries and Mission minded believers, aimed at equipping and empowering field missionaries, Churches and Ministries Workers, the Fivefold Ministers, Intercessors and all burdened for Global harvest of Souls.
In the year 2000, when I was a student at All Nations For Christ Bible Institute, Benin City Nigeria, the Lord laid in my heart to bring together Men and Women of God who are laboring in God’s vineyard expecially in the remote areas, for a refreshing seminar. God has helped us tremendously to keep the vision going. What started with fifty three (53) very poor and discouraged rural missionaries is yielding great results to the glory of God.
Each year, since 2000, we Gathers: Missionaries, Church Leaders and Workers, mostly from the rural areas across the states in Nigeria and other countries, at Abuja for training and equipping for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission of Our Lord Jesus Christ and to support Missionaries with the necessary Materials that would enhance their work in the field.
The conference seeks to educate participants on the urgency, challenges and possibilities of carrying out the great commission and also shares information on the areas that are largely unreached with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
At the end of the conference each year, as our good Lord provides, the Ministry shares Materials such as: Christian Literatures, clothing Materials, Public address systems, Bibles ,motorcycles, Power Generator Set, Water Filters, and at times used Cars to help the missionaries go around their Ministry’s areas.
MACON in the Past years has had enormous impact on those who have been participating as shown by their testimonies of Revival, Growth and Reawakening of Zeal in their difference areas of ministries.
As we prepare for the 2019 edition of the annual mission conference, there is need to look back and appreciate God for what He has done in the past eighteen years. We are grateful for the leadership of Global Mission Ministry Centre, the committed team from USA, Taiwan and all those who not only believes in the vision, but sacrifice in one way or the other to keep the dream alive. we say thank you!
Macon 2019 theme is based on Luke chapter 5, Launching out into the deep, and let down your nets… Luke 5:4.
The early stage of Macon, we had this theme, it will be hard to forget the impact of the conference in that year Launch out into the deep was the main focus. Most of the missionaries went back from mission awareness conference that year with great passion for souls and many local churches were planted in rural communities.
God is leading us again to take a look at this important experienced and encountered the disciples had. They fished all night and caught nothing. At Jesus's command they let down their nets once more. ''And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake" (Luke 5:6). This narration of the miraculous catch is a symbol of the evangelistic productivity that is guaranteed when the church responds in willing obedience to Christ's divine commission.
Christ's challenging command to His disciples is "Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets" for the catch (verse 4).
Brethren, Time's clock has struck the hour when the church must embark upon a new revolutionary Spirit-led soul-winning adventure of unprecedented magnitude. Christ's mandate to "launch out into the deep" is a call for the whole church to set bigger and more daring evangelistic objectives. It is a divine directive to mobilize and harness the entire membership of the Church for an all-out evangelistic advance.
It is a call to set in motion a new tidal wave of soul-winning action that will engulf every town, village, city, and country in this world with the redeeming message of the everlasting gospel.
Now is the time for God's people to launch out into the deep and let down the gospel net for an extraordinary catch of men and women for the kingdom of God. With Isaiah we are challenged to enlarge the place of our tents, lengthen our cords, and strengthen our stakes (Isaiah 54:2).
The divine directive "Launch out into the deep" has a ring of immediacy and urgency. The church can no longer continue to expect dramatic Pentecostal results in evangelism while it is fishing in the shallow waters of spiritual complacency, lack of sacrificial commitments, and Laodicean lukewarmness.
Remaining in the shallow waters of small soul-winning objectives is a tragic denial of our sublime mission! The Church began in a spirit of urgency, and it must also climax in urgency and a blaze of triumph! As the church swiftly approaches the hour of sunset, launching out into the deep must become the trademark of every congregation, institution, industry, and organization.
We have a saving, redeeming judgment-hour message that must be given to all mankind with compelling passion. Sweeping religious, social, political, and economic changes are taking place all over the world with startling implications for the church in the accomplishment of its divine commission.
A diabolical, materialistic political ideology now threatens the advance of the gospel in some areas of the world. We are not immune to these atheistic ideologies. While the doors remain ajar, the church in collective Holy Spirit-directed commitment must launch out and let down the gospel net so that hundreds of thousands may be brought into God's church.

Launching out into the deep is God's imperious summons to a new revival and awakening that gives priority to a total unrelenting evangelism. Launching out into the deep in this stage of Harvest gives unquestioning priority to evangelism in all forms and on all levels of the church organization. This involves public evangelism, personal evangelism, lay evangelism, youth evangelism, pastoral evangelism, medical evangelism, mass media evangelism, et cetera.
The dual mandate to "launch out . . . and let down" for the catch is a command, as well as a promise of bountiful success. All God's commands are promises.
It is my honest and sincere desire that through Macon 2019; God, through the Holy Spirit, shall use the teachings, preachings, workshop and other programs lined up to work in the lives of His Servants.
Additionally, owing to the astronomic rise in participation, it has become onerous for few to foot the organizational cost for the Annual Mission Conference, also the cost of running Marie’s sewing Centre for rural women, Rural School of Ministry and Mission. Support in cash or kind towards the hosting of the 2019 Annual Conference and support for other outreaches in 2018 shall be graciously received.
I look forward to hearing from those who are led to pray for, teach, preach, participate and support the hosting of this great conference.
God Bless You.
Yours in the Great Commission
